About Soil
Filling a raised bed, topdressing a tired lawn and planting out a pot each call for a different soil or mix. Starting with the right base gives new plantings a better start and makes existing garden beds easier to work and improve.
To raise and level garden beds, choose Top Soil Sandy Loam, Farm Soil or Garden Blend Mix Soil, with a garden soil also available for planting areas. Mushroom Compost and an organic compost can be dug through existing soil to add organic matter before planting. For containers, planters and window boxes, an all rounder potting mix is the one to use.
