Privacy Policy
We take your privacy seriously and handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
This privacy policy explains how Multifors collects, uses and discloses information about you when you use our website, place an order, contact us or interact with our advertising. We have tried to keep it clear and easy to understand.
Last updated: 17 October 2026.
Information we collect
When you place an order or create an account
We collect your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery address, and the details of your order. We use this to process and deliver or prepare your order for pickup, to send you order updates, to provide customer service, and to keep records we are required to keep. Card payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe; we do not store your full card details.
Contact forms and enquiries
When you fill out our contact form or send us an enquiry, we collect your name, contact details and message, and use them to respond to you.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies, pixel tags and similar technologies to run our website, remember your cart, understand how our website is used, and measure and improve our advertising. These include Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Ads. We also use Sentry to find and fix website errors; it may record how you use our pages, such as the pages you visit, where you click and what appears on the screen, but not what you type into form fields. These technologies may record information such as:
- the pages you visit, the products you view and add to your cart, and whether you place an order
- the website or ad that referred you to us
- your device, operating system, browser and approximate location
- the date and time of your visit.
Google may use this information to show you Multifors ads on other websites and in Google services (remarketing) and to measure how our ads perform. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, although some features of the website may not work without them. You can control the ads Google shows you at My Ad Center, and opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising and audience matching
We advertise on Google. When you place an order, your email address and phone number are sent to Google in hashed form (a one-way code, not the readable details) so that Google can tell us which of our ads led to sales. This is called enhanced conversions.
We may also share the email address and phone number you gave us with Google in hashed form, using Google’s Customer Match service, to show our ads to you or to avoid showing you ads for things you have already bought. We only share your email address and phone number for this purpose. Under Google’s terms for these services, Google uses the information to match it to Google accounts for our advertising and does not share it with other advertisers. Google’s own use of information is described in its privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
You can opt out of Customer Match at any time, free of charge, by emailing [email protected]. We will act on your request within 7 days.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
How long we retain your data
We keep order and account records for as long as we need them to provide our services and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely so that we can recognise and approve follow-up comments automatically.
If you register on our website, we also store the personal information you provide in your user profile. You can see and edit your personal information at any time (except your username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Sharing and disclosure of personal information
We share your information with third parties that help us run our business, including:
- the partner store or supplier that prepares your order for pickup or delivery, and our delivery providers
- our payment provider (Stripe)
- providers that host and protect our website (including Cloudflare), send our emails (Postmark) and monitor website errors (Sentry)
- Google, for analytics and advertising as described above.
These providers may access your information only for the purpose of providing their services to us. We may also disclose your information where we are required or authorised to do so by law, including to our legal advisers, government authorities or law enforcement where we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with a law, protect the safety of any person, address fraud, security or technical issues, or protect Multifors’ rights or property.
Overseas disclosure
Some of these providers, including Google, Stripe, Postmark, Sentry and Cloudflare, may store or process your information outside Australia, mainly in the United States. We take reasonable steps, such as choosing established providers that have their own privacy and security commitments, to protect your information when it is handled overseas.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (for example videos, images and articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if you had visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content.
We are not responsible for the practices of websites we link to. When you follow a link to another website, our privacy policy no longer applies and your activity on that website is subject to its own policies.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. However, no security measures are perfect, and we cannot guarantee the security of information sent over the internet.
Your choices, access and correction
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to keep some information for administrative, legal or security reasons. You may decline to give us personal information, but we may then be unable to provide some services, such as processing an order.
You can also ask us at any time to stop using your details for Customer Match.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please email us at [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au.
Changes to our privacy policy
If we change our privacy policy, we will post the changes on this page and update the date above. If we plan to use personal information we already hold for a new purpose, we will tell you before we do.
