About Tiling
Tiles for bathrooms, kitchens, laundries and steps, from a splashback refresh to a whole ensuite. Feature tiles do the decorative work on splashbacks and accent walls, with gloss Ukibori Kit Kat tiles in greens, greys and white, and natural stone squares in travertine and other stone finishes.
Choosing usually comes down to the pattern you want on the wall. Subway tiles are the rectangular option for kitchen and bathroom walls, and the extra slim porcelain versions in soft colours and gloss finishes can be laid stacked or in a brick pattern. Square tiles set out a simpler grid, either in natural stone or with a gloss mosaic look. For stairs, porcelain risers in Bluestone and Quartz face the upright part of internal and external steps.
Pick adhesive and grout at the same time as the tiles, with trims and edging for any exposed edge. Spacers, wedges and lippage systems earn their place during setting out by keeping joints even across the surface. Sponges and scourers take care of the clean-up, caulking guns apply sealant, and tile, stone and concrete treatments suit natural stone and other surfaces that need treating once laid.

What's the difference between porcelain, ceramic and natural stone tiles?
Porcelain is dense and hard-wearing, which suits floors and wet areas. Ceramic is lighter and easier to cut, and is most often used on walls. Natural stone gives every tile its own variation in colour and pattern, and usually needs sealing. Check each product's details for where it can be used.
How many tiles do I need?
Measure the area in square metres and add an allowance for cuts and breakages, more for diagonal or herringbone layouts. Each product page shows how much one box covers, and our team can check your quantities before you order.
Which adhesive and grout should I use?
It depends on the tile, the surface it's going onto and whether the area is wet or outdoors. Follow the tile and adhesive manufacturers' recommendations, or ask us and we'll match an adhesive and grout to your job.
Do I need trims for my tiles?
Trims protect and finish exposed tile edges, such as outside corners, benchtop edges and where tiles meet another floor. Choose a trim that suits the thickness of your tile.
