What does hinged and latched mean?
It means the door is already machined for its hinges and latch, and the jamb is machined to match. You still fit the hardware, but you are not cutting hinge mortices or boring the latch yourself.
Can a flush external door be used in an exposed opening?
External flush doors of this type must be hung in an opening that is protected from the weather, such as under an eave or a porch. They are not intended for a fully exposed opening. Check the manufacturer’s own guidance on the product page.
Which jamb suits which door?
The 2110mm jamb suits a 2040mm door and the 2410mm jamb suits a 2340mm door. The extra height covers the head of the frame and the floor clearance.
What is the difference between hollow core and solid core?
A hollow core door is lighter and less expensive, and suits most internal and protected external openings. A solid core door is heavier, feels more substantial and does more to reduce noise between rooms.
Do the doors come painted?
No. They are primed, which means sealed and ready for your topcoats. Prime coat is not a finish in itself, so paint them before they are exposed to moisture.
