A floating floor is not fixed to the subfloor, so it relies on the thin layer beneath it for an even bed to sit on. These underlays go under click-together floating floors, with options aimed at reducing footfall noise or adding a moisture barrier over the subfloor.
Sound Block acoustic underlay comes in 2mm and 3mm, and G3 EVA 3mm acoustic underlay is another option where noise between rooms or levels matters. Moisture Guard 3mm and Moisture Block 2mm underlays are commonly laid over concrete slabs. VibraMat Acoustic Underlay 4mm is the thickest option in the range.
