About Weld-Aid
Weld-Aid is a CRC brand of welding consumables. This category holds anti-spatter treatment that stops weld spatter from sticking to parts, tooling and fixtures. That makes clean-up quicker than scraping or grinding fused spatter off unprotected tooling.
Weld-Aid Weld-Kleen HD Anti-Spatter is a heavy duty base metal treatment. It is solvent based and quick drying, and it is non-flammable, which matters in a work area already full of sparks and heat. CRC lists it for resistance welding tips, MIG and TIG tips, weldments, electrode holders, contact tips, tools, metal moulds and bench top splash guards. The formula accepts pre-heating and suits higher duty cycles and higher temperature work, and it is paintable, so treated parts can go on to be painted.
Treat the parts, clamps, tooling and fixtures that pick up spatter, following the label directions. Keep the nozzle and consumables clean, as anti-spatter works alongside good welding practice rather than replacing it. Read the label and safety data sheet before use.
