RE-PO is the CRC car care range of cutting compounds, polishes and cleaners for restoring and protecting automotive paintwork, plus a chrome finish enamel for metal. The products run from heavy cutting for weathered paint through to wax polishes for newer cars.
CRC RE-PO Cutting Compound removes heavily weathered layers of paint, old wax, tar and scratches. It is not recommended for paint in good condition, or for newer cars with metallic paint or clear coat finishes. CRC RE-PO Extra Cut Cream Polish is a heavy duty cutting cream with carnauba wax that removes minor swirl marks, light scratches and oxidation. RE-PO Auto Polish and Cleaner is a non-silicone polish and cleaner for any paint finish, recommended for removing oxidised and perished paint. For new and well maintained vehicles, CRC RE-PO Auto Cream Polish blends silicone fluids and carnauba wax for gloss and protection. RE-PO Paint Doctor removes scuffs and stains, is safe on clear coat and contains carnauba wax. RE-PO Kromebrite Liquid Chrome Enamel is a 400g aerosol that gives a bright chrome-like finish on metal such as wheels, bull bars, wrought iron and draw bars.
Match the product to the paint: cut only badly weathered finishes, then protect with a cream polish.

How do I use RE-PO Cutting Compound?
Wash the car and chamois it dry. Put a small amount on a clean, open weave cloth pad, never directly onto the paint, and work a small area with a straight back and forth motion. Finish with a clean dry cloth. CRC then recommends protecting the surface with RE-PO Cream Polish. Too much compound hinders the cutting action. Do not apply it on hot surfaces or in direct sunlight, and keep it off unpainted surfaces and plastic trim.
Can RE-PO Extra Cut Cream Polish be applied in the sun?
No. CRC’s directions for this product say not to apply it on hot surfaces or in direct sunlight; other RE-PO polishes may have different directions, so check the label of the product you’re using. Work in the shade on a cool panel, one section at a time, using a soft cotton cloth. Let it dry to a light haze, then buff off with a clean cloth using a circular motion.
