Description
Chemforce Stain Protector
– 1 , 5 and 20 Litres
Impregnating sealer – world-leading protection for stone, pavers,
polished concrete
Chemforce Stain Protector™ gives optimal stain protection by providing superior
water and oil repellence.
Chemforce Stain Protector™ is suitable for most types of porous building materials,
including: Natural stone, brick, terracotta, concrete paving and polished concrete.
Chemforce Stain Protector™ is suitable for indoor and outdoor surfaces, including:
Floors, patios, kitchens, bathrooms, terraces, entertaining areas and pool
surrounds (use Fortifier Plus for salt water pool surrounds).
Advantages
- Super-penetrating, permanent bonding technology for superior protection
against efflorescence, picture framing, salt spalling, freeze-thaw spalling. - Retains surface colour, finish and slip resistance if applied
correctly. - On outdoor surfaces, including natural stone, Chemforce Stain
Protector™ provides a very deep hydrophobic (water repellent) barrier which keeps
water out of the pores near the surface of the material and reduces mould growth. - Highly breathable, allows water vapor to escape freely, and limits
harmful moisture buildup inside the treated material. - Chemforce Stain Protector™ is highly UV resistant, chemical resistant
and heat resistant and stands up to commercial cleaning methods. - Treated surfaces remain to look good for longer and are easier to
clean.
IMPORTANT: Chemforce is an Australian owned company with high
quality labs and manufacturing factories and Stain Protector™ was developed and
manufactured in our facilities in Sunshine West, Victoria, Australia.
Stain Protector™ Impregnating Sealer Technology
- Chemforce uses the latest modified silane impregnation technology.
- Chemforce™ modified silane molecules are 300-500 times smaller than
other penetrating sealer technologies. - This allows Chemforce™ impregnators to penetrate deep into the pore
system and line the pores. - Chemforce™ impregnators also make permanent covalent bonds inside the
pores, literally becoming part of the molecular matrix of the treated stone or
other porous material to create a deep water and / or oil repelling barrier. - The deeper penetration and permanent bonding together provide
protection against salt spalling, efflorescence and picture framing as well as
stain protection. - Chemforce™ impregnators are fully breathable.
- This means that while it stops water travelling through the treated
area as a liquid, the water can evaporate and escape as water vapour (as a gas). - This is important so moisture is not trapped inside the substrate.
- Chemforce™ impregnators cause negligible change to the slip
characteristics and appearance of stones and other porous surfaces (except for our
enhancer which is designed to deepen the colour).
HOW TO USE
Preparation:
- TEST PRODUCT ON A SMALL, INCONSPICUOUS AREA FIRST.
- Allow a 24-hour cure time to determine the ease of application and
desired results. - Surface must be clean, dry and free of any residues.
- Apply when surface temperature is between 5-35°C (40 – 95°F).
- DO NOT thin product.
Application:
- Leave to penetrate for at least 10 minutes.
- Generously apply STAIN-PROTECTOR™ using low pressure hand sprayer,
brush or microfiber / wool applicator. - Very porous surfaces should have a mirror like wet look for at least 3-
5 seconds. Avoid contact with surrounding areas. - Before it dries on the surface, apply a second generous coat.
- Total application rate (for both coats combine) is one litre per 4 to
20 sqm (one gallon per 160 to 800 sq. ft) depending on surface absorption. - After minimum 10 minutes but, before the second coat dries, thoroughly
polish the surface with clean, white absorbent cotton or microfiber towels (or
similar) to remove ALL product residue. - If residue has begun to dry, moistening a cloth with Stain Protector™
to ease removal. - Use an organic solvent e.g. alcohol or mineral spirits to clean
equipment. - Avoid moisture contact with the surface for six hours after
application.
NOTE:Sealer will NOT prevent surface etching, scuff marks or
mechanical wear and may lighten or darken some surfaces. Stain Protector™ repels
water and oil, but not solvents, so solvent based materials, such as marking pen
ink can still stain the treated surface, but will penetrate less, and be easier to
remove. All spills should be cleaned up immediately to minimize absorption.
