Description
Two millimetre vinyl is thin enough that most transition profiles overwhelm it. The MJ70 is sized for exactly that job: an aluminium ramp that carries 2mm vinyl up to an adjoining timber, concrete or tiled surface on a 1 in 4 gradient.
The numbers are small and deliberate. Finished height is 4.1 millimetres, the ramp itself runs 17 millimetres and the overall section is 31 millimetres wide, so the trim reads as part of the floor rather than as a bar laid across it.

Sized for the Covering, Not the Opening
Most transition trims are chosen on length and finish. This one is chosen on the thickness of the floorcovering it serves. At a finished height of 4.1 millimetres it is dimensioned around 2 millimetre vinyl, so the vinyl runs into the ramp and the two finish flush.
Put a thicker covering into it and the vinyl sits proud of the trim, which defeats the purpose and leaves an exposed edge that will lift. Check the thickness of the sheet being laid before ordering, because the difference between 2mm and 2.5mm vinyl is enough to matter here.

How to Apply
- Confirm the vinyl thickness — The profile is sized for 2mm vinyl. A thicker covering needs a different section.
- Cut to length — Cut the 3.3 metre length to suit the opening.
- Position — Set the ramp so the vinyl runs into it and the gradient falls onto the adjoining surface.
- Fix down — Fix so the section sits flat across both surfaces with no movement.
