Sika SikaTile-110 Secure Proof is a rapid drying, water-based class III flexible
waterproofing membrane designed for wet areas, balconies and other under tile and
stone waterproofing applications.
Description
- SikaTile®-110 Secure Proof is a suitable undertile waterproofing membrane that complies to AS/NZS 4654:2012 and AS 4858:2004.
Uses
SikaTile®-110 Secure Proof is suitable for use on walls and floors for both internal and external applications.
SikaTile®-110 Secure Proof is suitable for most typical construction substrates such as;
- Concrete
- GRC – Glass reinforced concrete
- Cement boards and sheets including
- Scyon
- Renders and screeds
- Cement coated light weight construction boards
- Plasterboard
- Structural Plywood
- Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC)

Storage Conditions

Consumption
- The minimum dry film thickness required is 1.0mm applied in a minimum
of 2 coats. - SikaTile®-110 Secure Proof shall be applied to the substrate at a rate
of 0.75mm wet film thickness per coat. - A 15Ltr pail will cover approximately 10m2.
- The minimum dry film thickness for Pedestall and Paver application is
1.62mm.
Ambient Air Temperature
- >5ºC – <35ºC
Wait Times
Waiting times anssume an ambient air temperature of 23º and 50% relative Humidity.
Specified times act as a guide only and will vary according to conditions.
- Waiting time to application of the second coat – 1 to 2 hours
- Waiting time prior to tiling – 6 to 8 hours after final coat
- ready for Flood Testing – 48 hours
- Return to service – 3+ days
NOTE: All measurements are taken at 23ºC and 50% relative humidity. Specifications vary according to site conditions and should be taken as a guide only.
Limitations of Use
- SikaTile®-110 Secure Proof is not suitable for applications in areas of permanent water immersion.
- SikaTile®-110 Secure Proof is not suitable for applications in area of negative hydrostatic pressure or rising damp.
- Delay applications if rain or inclement weather is imminent.
- SikaTile®-110 Secure Proof must be applied at the recommended coverage rates.
- Tongue & groove timber flooring must be oversheeted with fibre cement sheeting or ceramic tile underlay.
- Particle board flooring shall be adequately prepared with all contaminates removed.
- To minimise the chance of damage install finished covering as soon as possible once the membrane has cured.
- SikaTile®-110 Secure Proof must not be used as a wearing surface for foot and vehicular traffic.

Mixing
- Stir the membrane with a paddle prior to use.
Application
- Apply the SikaTile®-110 Secure Proof to substrate with a medium nap roller allowing to dry between coats.
- Under tile applications shall be applied in a minimum of 2 coats to acheive a minimum dry film thickness of 1.0mm.
- Under pedestall and paver application shall be applied in a mnimum 3+ coats to achesive a minimum dry film thickness of 1.62mm.
- Pedestal and paver application, membrane should be periodically checked to ensure pedestalls remain i place and not dislodged, or damaging the membrane.
- Alternatively protective pads or a protection mat can be placed under the pedestals as a means
- Clean all tools and application equipment immediately
after use with water. Once cured, residual material can
only be removed mechanically.
