Sika SikaTile-010 Secure Prime – Multipurpose Primer
– Available in a 5 Litre Jerry Can
SikaTile®-010 Secure Prime is a high performance, ready to use, primer with efflorescence inhibiting
properties suitable for porous and dense substrates. SikaTile®-010 Secure Prime helps prevent efflorescence by reducing the porosity of concrete, screeds and renders with its unique crystalline technology.
It is suitable for use both internally and externally on both wall and floor applications.
Uses
SikaTile®-010 Secure Prime is suitable for the following applications:
- General purpose under tile priming of porous substrates
- General purpose primer for water-based waterproofing membranes
- Primer to prevent efflorescence coming out of substrates, ie concrete, screeds and renders
- Priming of dense and steel trowelled concrete
Suitable substrates include;
- Concrete
- Cement boards and sheets including ScyonTM
- Plasterboard
- Glass re-inforced concrete
- Cement based screeds and renders
- Cement coated light weight construction boards
- Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC)

Shelf Life
- 9 months from date of manufacture if stored out of direct sunlight un-
opened in original container.
Storage Conditions
- Store in dry cool conditions our of direct sunlight.
- Do not allow product to freeze.
Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) Content
- 6 grams per Litre

Important Considerations
- Not for use as a vapour barrier or in areas of rising damp.
- Do not dilute
- Use in temperatures between 5°C and 35°C
- SikaTile®-010 Secure Prime is not suitable for use over existing tiles and waterproofing membranes
- SikaTile®-010 Secure Prime is not suitable for use on plastics, metal, or glass.
- Do not use in highly windy conditions to avoid flash setting.
- All curing compounds, mould release agents must be removed before application of SikaTile®-010 Secure
Prime - SikaTile®-010 Secure Prime is suitable for use over early aged concrete and screeds, as a primer for
tiling applications only. - If waterproofing early aged concrete or screeds use an appropriate Sika moisture barrier as a primer.
- If the primed area is left exposed for longer than 24 hours, the area should be wiped down with cleaned
