Renovation and construction crews needing serious floor protection get four times the thickness of standard builder’s paper here, plus genuine liquid resistance and breathability across timber, stone, tile and epoxy surfaces alike.

Description

Capitol Heavy Duty Floor Protection is genuinely wider and four times thicker than standard builder’s paper, giving it real impact and moisture resistance across a broad range of surfaces — wood, concrete, stone, ceramic tile, linoleum, VCT and even epoxy coatings. Being liquid resistant and breathable at the same time is the key technical balance: it keeps spills from soaking through to the floor while still allowing the substrate underneath to breathe rather than trapping moisture against it.

Its eco credentials are genuine rather than incidental — 100% recyclable, containing at least 33% post-consumer material, and contributing points toward LEED Certified project requirements. Installation is straightforward: unroll onto the surface, cut with a utility knife, and seam larger areas together using Traxx Protexx paper tape applied to the seam itself rather than directly onto the floor beneath.

Its ability to be rolled up and reused across multiple jobs, rather than being strictly single-use, makes Capitol Heavy Duty Floor Protection a genuinely more economical choice for a trade business doing repeated renovation or construction work compared with disposable builder’s paper. The 30m² roll size and 820mm width are sized to cover a typical room efficiently with minimal seaming, and where multiple pieces are needed for a larger area, Traxx Protexx paper tape applied to the seam itself keeps the join secure without risking damage to the floor beneath.

Its 1.0mm thickness and full 30m² roll coverage make it a genuinely capable single-roll solution for protecting a typical room’s flooring during a renovation or construction phase, without needing to double up layers of lighter-weight paper.

Frequently asked questions

Can Capitol Heavy Duty Floor Protection be reused?

Yes — it can be rolled up and reused, rather than being a strictly single-use product.

How do multiple pieces join together for larger areas?

Seam multiple pieces together with Traxx Protexx paper tape, applied to the seam rather than directly to the floor — the tape should not be adhered directly to floors.

Does it need a safety data sheet?

No — following review of relevant OSHA regulations and the characteristics of paperboard, an MSDS is not required, since paperboard falls within the exemptions for a manufactured article and wood products.
