Description
A masking tape is judged on the edge it leaves. K750 FlowMask is a high grade Japanese washi tape built for exactly that: an ultra thin, flat, dense paper backing with an emulsion acrylic adhesive, which sits flat enough on a smooth surface that paint cannot bleed under it.
It is strong enough to strip off in one piece rather than shredding, holds paint on the tape rather than flaking it back onto the work, and stays removable for up to 90 days outdoors.

Washi Versus Standard Masking Tape
The difference is the backing. Standard masking tape uses a crepe paper with texture, and paint creeps into that texture at the edge. Washi paper is ultra thin, flat and dense, so on a smooth surface there is nothing for paint to creep into and the edge comes out sharp.
The other practical differences follow from the same construction. It is strong enough to strip off in one piece instead of shredding, it holds paint on the tape rather than flaking it back onto the work, and it stays removable without residue for up to 90 days outdoors.

How to Apply
- Clean the surface — The tape relies on sitting perfectly flat, so remove dust and grease first.
- Apply — Lay the tape down along the line and press it flat, particularly at the edge that will be painted against.
- Paint — Paint as normal. The thin backing is what gives the sharp edge.
- Remove — Strip the tape off. It is strong enough to come away in one piece and leaves no residue within its rated window.
Important Notes
- Rated to 100 degrees thermal stability, which is what makes it suitable for low bake ovens.
- Outdoor UV stability and clean removal are rated to 90 days. Beyond that, expect removal to be harder.
- Its advantage is on smooth surfaces. On heavy texture, no thin tape will fully prevent bleed.
