About Grouting Tools

Neat grout lines depend as much on the tools as on the grout, from pressing it fully into the joints to lifting residue off the tile face. Joint work and wash down need different tools, and epoxy grout needs a harder float than cement grout.

DTA large poly floats, grout spreaders and a hard epoxy float move grout across the tiles, while rubber grouters with a pointed tip from DTA and B.A.T. push it into narrow or detailed joints. For the wash down, a Wash Boy handle takes adhesive or velcro type sponges. On bigger floors, a system such as the DTA Boss is another option. A grout remover tool rakes out old grout before regrouting.
