A European Oak timber board, 14mm thick, with a light brush matte finish and Tongue & Groove L+R installation. It’s made by Sunstar Flooring, who supply the Oak Classics – Herringbone range through Multifors.
Behind the colour and finish, Herringbone Flooring – HW026-RZ Allendale-Herringbone’s real numbers are what determine how it holds up in daily use — a 2mm wear layer, a 5 Star acoustic rating and P3 slip resistance together give a genuine read on performance rather than just first impressions. Underneath, it’s built on a Multi-Ply Engineered Core core with UV Cured surface protection, a combination that’s what keeps a floor like this performing consistently from the first box to the last rather than varying noticeably across a larger room. Each box covers 2.016 m² across 28 planks, making it straightforward to work out how many boxes a given room actually needs once its area is measured.

How to Install
Installation should be completed by suitably qualified trades and must adhere to any relevant NCC & building requirements.
- Acclimatization — If exposed to extreme temperatures, or moisture prior to installation, let the product time to acclimatize in the room for 24-48 hours before opening.
- Dry Lay — Arrange planks before installation to visualize the pattern.
- Mix & Stagger — Mix boards and stagger them for a pleasing design.
- Assess During Installation — Do not install faulty or damaged boards.

Care & Maintenance
Take care when moving particularly when using trolleys, only ever use a trolley with inflatable tyres and use floor protection to avoid direct contact with the floor.
Never drag heavy furnishings or appliances, take extra care when moving the fridge and other appliances in, the edges are sharp and even the wheels can cause damage if they’re not clean or in good condition.
Tables, chairs, and sofas are often moved back and forth with extreme point loads that can lead to accelerated wear and tear of the coatings or scratching in localised areas. Under legs use felt pads, rugs can also be used in some locations where style can meet practicality, making sure to avoid rugs with rubber backings as these can cause staining.
