Description

Engineered European Oak with 1.2mm Veneer, Budget without Compromise That’s the character behind Arno 12mm, from Sunstar’s Oak Classics – 12mm Builders range, with neutral tones and a hamptons feel.

A European Oak timber board, 12mm thick, with a light brush matte finish and Droplock installation. It’s made by Sunstar Flooring, who supply the Oak Classics – 12mm Builders range through Multifors.

Behind the colour and finish, 030 Arno’s real numbers are what determine how it holds up in daily use — a 1.2mm wear layer, a 5 Star acoustic rating and P3 slip resistance together give a genuine read on performance rather than just first impressions. Underneath, it’s built on a Multi-Ply Engineered Core core with UV Cured surface protection, a combination that’s what keeps a floor like this performing consistently from the first box to the last rather than varying noticeably across a larger room. Each box covers 2.888 m² across 8 planks | 30% nested lengths, making it straightforward to work out how many boxes a given room actually needs once its area is measured.

Care & Maintenance

Always keep the floor dry, spills should be immediately cleaned up to prevent the timber absorbing moisture and distorting. Oil, food, drinks, and other household spills including pet accidents should also be cleaned up and wiped clean with a damp cloth to ensure staining does not occur.

Regular (aim for daily) sweeping with a soft broom and vacuuming will keep the floor free of debris preventing build up in the joins and grain where exposed. When vacuuming ensuring the head of the vacuum has felt on the underside, let’s not scratch a floor while aiming to look after it.

As required (weekly) the floors are suitable for mopping to ensure they remain clean and fresh, but again remember timber loves to absorb water, moisture can lead to major damage. Always keep the floor dry, use a spray mop to limit the moisture on the floor. The moisture is only to soften and loosen the dirt, let the mop do the work.

Frequently asked questions

How many boxes of 030 Arno do I need?

Each box of 030 Arno covers 2.888 m2 and holds 8 planks. Divide your floor area by 2.888, add about 10 percent for offcuts, then round up to the next whole box. A 20 m2 room works out at 8 boxes. The calculator on this page does the same maths for you. The box is packed with 30% nested lengths, so plank lengths vary and the finished floor avoids a repeating join pattern.

Is 030 Arno noisy underfoot?

030 Arno carries a 5 Star acoustic rating, which is the top of the scale Sunstar publishes. The underlay matters as much as the board here, so pair it with an acoustic underlay in apartments or on a first floor.

What size are the boards in 030 Arno?

030 Arno boards measure 190x1900mm and are 12mm thick, cut from European Oak. Longer, wider boards mean fewer joins across a room, which is part of why the floor reads as timber rather than as a plank product.
