Oak Classics sets the standard: engineered European Oak with a real 2mm veneer. Ballina carries that through in Sunstar’s Oak Classics range, with warm tones and a mid-century modern feel.
A European Oak timber board, 14mm thick, with a light brush matte finish and Droplock installation. It’s made by Sunstar Flooring, who supply the Oak Classics range through Multifors.
Behind the colour and finish, HW002 Ballina’s real numbers are what determine how it holds up in daily use — a 2mm wear layer, a 5 Star acoustic rating and P3 slip resistance together give a genuine read on performance rather than just first impressions. Underneath, it’s built on a Multi-Ply Engineered Core core with UV Cured surface protection, a combination that’s what keeps a floor like this performing consistently from the first box to the last rather than varying noticeably across a larger room. Each box covers 2.166 m² across 6 planks | 30% nested lengths, making it straightforward to work out how many boxes a given room actually needs once its area is measured.

How to Install
Installation should be completed by suitably qualified trades and must adhere to any relevant NCC & building requirements.
- Evaporative Cooling — Should not be used during installation. Expansion gaps may be reduced with care: Adhesive takes up to 30days to fully cure and bond.
- To reduce expansion gaps the following steps must be taken:
- Acclimatized timber in boxes in for 48hours in the room prior to installation.
- Consistent room temperature must be maintained during installation and for 72 hours thereafter.

Care & Maintenance
Stains and marks — Stubborn stains can be removed with care using methylated spirits on a damp cloth. After removing clean all the methylated spirits from the surface using a fresh damp cloth.
Fine minor white surface scratches: Tibet Almond Stick a very simple method to hide minor scratches. This product is available online for purchase.
Minor indents or scratches causing indentation of the surface: Timbermate wax sticks are available from hardware stores and online, numerous tutorials are also available online.
