Description
Stone Dust & Cement is a pre-blended dry mix of 3mm crushed stone dust and cement for bedding pavers, stepping stones and kerbs, and packing under kerbs, sleepers and edging. Having both in one bag saves sourcing and proportioning them separately.
Once water is added, the cement content lets the bed set, so it holds pavers more firmly than plain stone dust. It is not a structural concrete mix.
It is a plain-sack blend with no manufacturer brand. For footings, slabs or anything load-bearing, use a bagged concrete mix or concrete batched from GP cement, sand and aggregate. Keep bags sealed and dry so the cement does not set in the bag.

Where to Use

How to Apply
- Prepare the area: clear, level and compact the base.
- Spread and screed: spread the mix to the required depth and screed it level.
- Lay the pavers: bed them into the screeded mix.
- Water in: sprinkle with water so the cement content binds the bed.
- Allow to set: before applying load.
Important Notes
- Wet cement is alkaline and can burn skin and eyes. Wear gloves, eye protection and a P2 mask, avoid breathing dust when opening or mixing, and wash it off skin promptly. See the Safe Work Australia guidance on cement and silica dust.
- Crushed stone and sand contain crystalline silica. Keep the material damp when spreading or sweeping, avoid breathing the dust, and wear a P2 mask if it is dry and dusty.
- Not a substitute for a concrete mix on structural or load-bearing work.
