Description
Sika’s Sikafloor-050 Ramp and Patch is a fast-setting mortar for ramping and patching concrete internally and externally. Its rapid early strength gain — around 30MPa after just one day, rising to about 40MPa at 28 days — is what makes it suitable for jobs like forming a ramp edge or patching a damaged section of slab where the area needs to be back in service quickly, rather than waiting out a slower-curing repair mortar.
At 1 gram per litre VOC, it’s also a very low-emission product, relevant on occupied sites or where indoor air quality standards matter, and it carries a Green Star VOC-SCQMD Rule 1168 test certificate for projects that need that documented. A short 15 minute pot life keeps the mortar workable and easy to shape by trowel, but does mean mixing in small batches to match the pace of placement.

Where to Use
- Ramping and patching internal and external concrete floors
- Fast-track repairs needing rapid early strength
- Metal substrates and concrete floors that are fully cured and structurally sound
How to Apply
- Prepare the substrate — concrete floors must be fully cured, structurally sound, clean and dry, free of surface contaminants; not recommended over slabs with efflorescence or high moisture.
- Mix — combine 4.1 to 4.3 litres of clean, cool water with the 20kg bag.
- Place within the pot life — apply within 15 minutes of mixing.
- Trowel to shape — pack and shape with a trowel to form the required ramp or patch profile.
- Allow to cure — protect from drying too fast; let all coated areas dry evenly.
Important Notes
- Not recommended as a final trafficable wearing surface — cover with an appropriate topping or floor covering.
- Do not mix or apply over a concrete substrate with efflorescence or high moisture content.
- Mix only as much as can be placed within the 15 minute pot life.
- Ambient air temperature should be within 10°C to 35°C during application.
