Lifting an old floorcovering is the easy half. What is left behind is a cured adhesive film that has to come off before anything new goes down. Max Bond Adhesive Remover is made for that job, applied directly to dry adhesive and left to soak in.
The method is straightforward: spread it, give it a few minutes, then agitate. It comes in 1 litre, 4 litre and 20 litre sizes, so it scales from a patch repair to a full commercial floor strip.

Why the Soak Time Matters
The instinct on site is to apply the remover and start scrubbing, which wastes both product and effort. The chemistry needs 2 to 5 minutes to penetrate a cured adhesive film, and until it has, scrubbing is only moving liquid around on the surface.
Apply to an area you can come back to, let it stand, then agitate with a brush or pad. Stubborn patches take a sharp scraper after soaking rather than instead of it. Once the slab is clear, make sure all residue is removed before priming, because remover left behind affects the next adhesive.

How to Apply
- Apply — Spread the remover directly onto the dry adhesive with a brush, broom or mop.

- Scrape — A sharp scraper may be needed for the stubborn areas.
- Clean the slab — Remove all residue before priming or laying new floorcovering.
Important Notes
- Apply to dry adhesive. Wet or partly cured adhesive behaves differently and should be removed mechanically.
- The soak time is what does the work. Agitating immediately after application wastes product.
- Ensure the slab is fully clean and dry before priming, because remover residue affects adhesion.
