Description
Protecting a finished floor through the rest of a build is a balance between toughness and gentleness. Polycushion Foam Protector Wrap manages both: a double laminate woven sheet that resists tearing, foam backed so the surface it sits on is not abraded by grit trapped underneath.
It is used over polished timber, slate, marble and benchtops, and at 1.5 metres by 50 metres a roll covers 75 square metres. It is Australian made and fully recyclable.

Foam Backing Versus Plain Sheet
Plain sheet protection stops paint splashes and dropped tools, but it does nothing about the grit that works underneath it. On a polished timber or stone floor that grit is dragged across the surface every time someone walks over the protection.
A foam backed wrap absorbs that. The foam layer holds grit away from the finished surface and cushions point impacts at the same time, which is why it is specified over polished timber, slate, marble and benchtops rather than over a slab that is going to be tiled anyway.

How to Apply
- Clean the floor — Sweep or vacuum first. Grit left underneath is what causes scratching, not the protection itself.
- Roll out — Unroll across the area, running lengths in the same direction.
- Join and secure — Tape the seams and edges with a suitable protection tape so sheets cannot shift underfoot.
- Remove — Lift and roll at the end of the programme. The material is fully recyclable.
Important Notes
- Foam backing protects against abrasion, but the floor must still be clean before it goes down.
- Water and dust resistant rather than waterproof. Standing water should not be left on it.
- Where maximum impact protection is needed, a rigid protection board suits better than a wrap.
