Description
Cement Australia White Cement is a bright white cement that conforms to AS 3972. It suits decorative concrete, render, grout and colour-matched mortar, and it is whiter than Off White Cement.
Cement Australia notes that it removes the need to add white oxide to grouts and renders where a premium whiteness is wanted, and that it gives a brighter finish when colour oxides are added. A grey base dulls an added colour; a white base lets it read true.
It handles like any other cement once combined with sand, and aggregate for concrete, at the ratio for the job. Colour results can vary due to natural differences in raw materials, so test a small batch, including any tint, before a full job. Store bags sealed and off the ground, away from grey cement dust, which can dull a white mix.

How to Apply
- Test a sample batch: including any tint, to confirm the finished colour before a full application.
- Combine with sand: mix to the ratio required for the application.
- Add tint if required: mix in evenly before adding water for a consistent colour.
- Add water gradually: mix to a workable, even consistency.
- Apply within working time: use before the mix begins to set.
Important Notes
- Wet cement is alkaline and can burn skin and eyes. Wear gloves, eye protection and a P2 mask, avoid breathing dust when opening or mixing, and wash it off skin promptly. See the Safe Work Australia guidance on cement and silica dust.
- Cement dust can contain crystalline silica. Avoid breathing the dust, and wear a P2 mask when opening and mixing bags.
- Colour results may vary due to natural differences in raw materials. Test a sample batch first, especially when adding a tint.
