About Injection Mortar
Injection mortar is a two-component chemical anchoring product. It is pushed through a mixing nozzle into a drilled hole, where it cures around a threaded rod, bolt or starter bar and bonds the fixing to the base material. It is an alternative to expanding mechanical anchors in concrete, masonry and stone.
Fischer FIS V Plus 300T Vinylester Injection Mortar is a vinyl ester hybrid mortar. Fischer lists it for cracked and non-cracked concrete and for a range of solid and hollow masonry, including solid and perforated brick, sand-lime brick, hollow blocks and aerated concrete. It is also approved for use in water-filled drill holes. The 300ml cartridge is dispensed through a static mixer, and a partly used cartridge can be reused by fitting a new mixer.
Megapoxy 206 ULTRA Epoxy Grout is also listed here. Megapoxy describes it as a flowable, 100% solids, two-part epoxy grout for civil and structural work, including setting anchor bolts, pile splicing and repairs, base plate grouting and core-hole filling. It is not a tiling grout. For either product, follow the manufacturer’s instructions on hole cleaning, cure times and loads, and use an engineer’s specification for structural fixings.

What is injection mortar used for?
It fixes threaded rod, bolts and reinforcing bars into drilled holes in concrete and masonry. The two components mix in the nozzle and cure around the fixing, bonding it into the hole. Fischer lists FIS V Plus for cracked and non-cracked concrete, for solid and hollow masonry, and for use in water-filled drill holes.
What do I need to dispense Fischer FIS V Plus?
The cartridge is dispensed through a static mixer nozzle, and Fischer says it is quick and easy to use with Fischer dispensers. The 300 T pack includes two FIS MR Plus static mixers, and a partly used cartridge can be reused by changing the mixer. Check that your dispenser suits the cartridge before you start.
Is Megapoxy 206 ULTRA a tile grout?
No. Megapoxy 206 ULTRA is a flowable epoxy grout for civil and structural work, such as setting anchor bolts, grouting base plates, pile splicing and filling core holes. Megapoxy gives a work time of 30 minutes and a minimum cure time of 24 hours at 25°C. For tile joints, look at Epoxy Grouts in the tiling range instead.
