Oak Classics sets the standard: engineered European Oak with a real 2mm veneer. Allendale carries that through in Sunstar’s Oak Classics range, with natural tones and a contemporary feel.
A European Oak timber board, 14mm thick, with a light brush matte finish and Droplock installation. It’s made by Sunstar Flooring, who supply the Oak Classics range through Multifors.
Behind the colour and finish, HW026 Allendale’s real numbers are what determine how it holds up in daily use — a 2mm wear layer, a 5 Star acoustic rating and P3 slip resistance together give a genuine read on performance rather than just first impressions. Underneath, it’s built on a Multi-Ply Engineered Core core with UV Cured surface protection, a combination that’s what keeps a floor like this performing consistently from the first box to the last rather than varying noticeably across a larger room. Each box covers 2.166 m² across 6 planks | 30% nested lengths, making it straightforward to work out how many boxes a given room actually needs once its area is measured.

How to Install
Installation should be completed by suitably qualified trades and must adhere to any relevant NCC & building requirements.
- Tropical Locations — In areas with extreme humidity (e.g., QLD), increase expansion gaps to a minimum of 15mm (see installation in Tropical locations technical note).
- Room Temperature — Maintain consistent room temperature before, during, and after installation.
- Avoid Fixing Skirtings & Scotia: Do not attach skirtings, scotia or trims to the flooring. Floorings natural movement must be allowed for.
- No Caulking or Adhesives — Never caulk the floor or Use adhesive to fix trims to the flooring.

Care & Maintenance
Even furnishings that aren’t moved often should have a suitable no scratch surface in contact with the flooring.
Under desk chairs or other wheeled furnishings use a non- staining mat and rubber casters. Although be aware rubber will cause staining to the surface of the floor over time, so again select mats without rubber backing.
Be aware like your skin timber can tan in the sun, timber naturally oxidizes in the sun and coatings fade, this is a natural ageing process of a natural product. This should be managed by moving furnishings from time to time to avoid uneven colour changes.
