Description
Soudal Repair Express Plaster is an acrylic dispersion paste for patching small defects in interior walls and ceilings. It is made by Soudal to fill cracks and screw holes without shrinking, and dries to a smooth finish that can be sanded and painted.
The paint-over time depends on how much product is used: the data sheet gives 15 minutes to several hours, depending on the quantity used. For larger cracks, static joints or big screw holes, Soudal prefers two applications.

Where to Use
- Small holes and cracks in plaster, concrete and cellular concrete
- Cracks and drilled holes in walls and ceilings (plasterboard, concrete, stone)
- Indoor repair of shrinkage cracks in mineral surfaces such as plasterwork, concrete, masonry and decorative plaster
- Static joints and cracks in walls and ceilings
- Seams of synthetic finishing and decorative profiles
It has good adhesion to all common porous building substrates. It has no good adhesion, or is not suitable, on bituminous substrates, glass, metal, PE, PP and PTFE.
How to Apply
- Make sure the surface is rigid, clean, dry and free of dust and grease, and remove any loose particles. Prime highly porous surfaces with 1 part Repair Express Plaster diluted with 2 parts water.
- Give nail heads or other metal a layer of paint first, to prevent discolouration from rust afterwards.
- Apply the filler at 5 to 30 degrees C. For larger cracks, static joints or big screw holes, apply in two passes, the second after about 1 hour depending on the porosity of the surface.
- Finish with a wet spatula or putty knife. Once cured, the filler can be sanded.
- Paint after 15 minutes to several hours, depending on how much product was used. Before curing, tools and substrates can be cleaned with water.
Important Notes
- Not suitable for outdoor applications, damp areas, or where continuous water immersion is possible.
- Not suitable for expansion and dilatation joints.
- Painting with highly filled paints can lead to peeling of the paint.
- Soudal recommends a preliminary adhesion and compatibility test on every surface.
- Repair with the same material.
- Take the usual labour hygiene into account and consult the packaging label and safety data sheet for more information.
