Description
Max Bond Enviro 88 Floor & Wall Vinyl Adhesive is a high performance, low VOC acrylic adhesive that conforms to the Green Star Building Standard, purpose-built for installing commercial and domestic sheet vinyl. Its excellent plasticiser resistance protects against the softening and discolouration that plasticiser migration can cause in a lesser adhesive over time, while genuinely good open times and re-bond characteristics give installers real working flexibility during application.
It’s suitable for use over absorbent heated subfloors, with AS1884-2012 clause 4.1.3 governing the required heating shutdown period before installation. Highly absorbent wooden or concrete subfloor surfaces should be primed with MAX BOND Primer first, and all concrete substrate floors need moisture content testing per the current Australian/NZ Standard before surface priming or floorcovering installation proceeds.
Notably, it’s not recommended for the installation of linoleum or LVT, reserving it specifically for sheet vinyl applications where its acrylic chemistry and re-bond properties are matched to the material’s behaviour. All seams for domestic vinyl should be seam-sealed with a suitable vinyl seam sealer once the installation is complete, and heavy traffic should be avoided for the first 24 hours.
Because it’s engineered specifically around sheet vinyl’s material behaviour rather than being a general-purpose flooring adhesive stretched to cover multiple floor types, Max Bond Enviro 88 gives more predictable open time and re-bond performance on the vinyl types it’s designed for. That focus is also why it explicitly excludes linoleum and LVT — those materials behave differently under an acrylic adhesive and are better served by a product formulated specifically for them.
