Description
Max Bond 107 Hi-Grab Sheet Vinyl Adhesive is a high-performance acrylic adhesive built for commercial and domestic sheet vinyl installation, with excellent plasticiser resistance that keeps it non-staining under vinyl over the long term. Its quick initial grab and genuine re-bond characteristics give installers real confidence that a seam or edge can be adjusted or re-activated during the job if needed, rather than committing irreversibly the moment the adhesive is spread.
Being suitable for use over absorbent heated subfloors extends where it can be specified, provided the correct AS1884-2012 clause 4.1.3 heating shutdown timing is followed. Its 1.6mm V-notched trowel application and up-to-1-year shelf life at 20°C make it a practical, straightforward product to stock and use across sheet vinyl jobs of varying scale.
Because it’s rated for use over absorbent heated subfloors as well as standard concrete and timber substrates, Max Bond 107 gives real flexibility across different build types without needing a separate adhesive purely because underfloor heating is present. Its excellent plasticiser resistance also protects against the softening or staining that a lower-grade adhesive can cause over time as plasticisers migrate out of the sheet vinyl itself, which is a common long-term failure mode in vinyl flooring installations.
Because it’s for internal use only, it should be reserved for indoor sheet vinyl work, and confirming substrate moisture content against AS1884 remains an essential first step on any concrete floor before adhesive or primer goes down.

Where to Use

How to Apply
- Prepare the substrate — dry, smooth, sound, clean and free of wax, grease and hydrostatic pressure.
- Prime if needed — absorbent wooden or concrete subfloors should be primed with MJS Max Prime first.
- Apply the adhesive — spread with a 1.6mm V-notched trowel.
- Lay the sheet vinyl — press into the adhesive, ensuring good transfer and roll in both directions.
- Seal domestic seams — use Max Bond VSS vinyl seam sealer on all domestic vinyl seams.

- All concrete substrate floors should be tested for moisture content per AS1884 before priming or installation.
- Clean tools immediately with warm soapy water; dried adhesive needs a solvent cleaner.
