Description
Loba EasyFinish 1K is a water-based wood floor finish that closes the usual gap between the convenience of a one-component system and the durability expected of a two-component product. Having been used on millions of square metres, it’s positioned as genuinely comparable in resilience to 2K finishes — elastic, with good chemical and abrasion resistance — while staying a simple, ready-to-use system that doesn’t require mixing a hardener before application.
Its no-lap-marks application quality matters on real jobs where achieving a perfectly even roller technique across a large floor is difficult; a finish prone to lap marks shows every overlap as a visible line once dry, while EasyFinish is specifically formulated to avoid that. Meeting ÖNORM C2354:2009’s highest stress class, and DIN 18032 friction requirements when combined with LOBA SportCare, gives it genuine certification behind the heavy-wear claim rather than just marketing language.

Where to Use
- Parquet, wood and cork floors subject to heavy wear
- Sports and multipurpose hall flooring, combined with LOBA SportCare
- Practically all European and exotic wood species
How to Apply
- Prepare and prime the substrate — properly sand and prime, allowing the primer to dry as specified.
- Apply the first coat by roller — transfer material to a LOBA varnish bucket first, shaking contents well.
- Allow to dry and sand intermediate — recoat without sanding within 24 hours, or sand with LOBASAND P120 or finer if longer has passed.
- Apply the second coat — roller on the second coating layer.
- Allow to cure — light use after 24 hours, full use after 5 days.
Important Notes
- Limit to a maximum of 2 roll applications per day to reduce the risk of excessive swelling.
- The product is ready for use and must not be reduced or thinned.
- Drying times are valid for +20°C and 50% relative humidity — high humidity or poor ventilation extends drying time.
< That combination of speed and durability is why it's specified as often for busy commercial spaces — retail floors, offices, hospitality venues — as it is for residential homes wanting a lower-maintenance finish. Following the recommended maximum of two roll applications per day, rather than trying to rush a job by applying more coats sooner, protects the finish from the swelling risk that comes with over-wetting the timber underneath.
The gap between a one-component and two-component wood floor finish has historically been a real trade-off between convenience and durability, with 2K systems generally winning on wear resistance at the cost of a more involved, time-pressured mixing and application process. EasyFinish 1K’s whole value proposition is closing that gap — genuine 2K-level durability from a system that skips the hardener-mixing step entirely, which matters as much for a flooring contractor’s job-site efficiency as it does for the finished floor’s long-term performance.
