Description
Intertac Plus Pressure Sensitive Adhesive is formulated specifically for Interface’s own Glasbac and Cushion Back carpet tile ranges, as well as Interface’s Luxury Vinyl Tile and plank products — a brand-matched adhesive rather than a general-purpose carpet tile adhesive repurposed for the job. Being solvent-free, low odour and low VOC makes it suitable for commercial fit-outs where indoor air quality during installation is a genuine consideration.
Its 99% RH tolerance on concrete substrates is a standout figure, meaningfully higher than many standard carpet tile adhesives, which can remove weeks of slab-drying wait time from a project schedule on a newer concrete pour. Coverage varies significantly by application method — from 5m² per litre with a standard V1 trowel up to 10-14m² per litre with a long nap roller — giving installers real flexibility in how they spread the adhesive depending on the specific carpet tile backing being installed.
Its anti-microbial, Australian-made formulation adds a further layer of practical value for commercial fit-outs, where indoor air quality and long-term hygiene performance are genuine specification considerations alongside bond strength. Coverage f and set time will vary depending on the specific application method used and the absorbency of the substrate, so following the relevant Australian Standard and the floorcovering manufacturer’s own instructions remains essential to get a reliable result.

Where to Use
- Interface Glasbac and Cushion Back carpet tiles
- Interface Luxury Vinyl Tile and plank range
- Commercial fit-outs prioritising low-VOC installation
How to Apply
- Prepare the substrate — must be absorbent, dry, smooth, sound and clean, mechanically prepared if required.
- Test moisture — confirm concrete moisture content per current Australian Standards before priming or installation.
- Select the application method — V1 trowel, long nap roller or V2 trowel depending on the specific Interface product being installed.
- Allow to tack up — approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour at 20°C, until the adhesive turns clear.
- Lay the flooring — press into place and roll for full transfer.
Important Notes
- Setting time varies with substrate absorbency, temperature and humidity.
- Clean tools immediately with warm soapy water; dried adhesive needs R550 Latex/Acrylic Adhesive Remover or AFTEK Handy Wipes.
- Installation must follow the relevant Australian Standard and the specific floorcovering manufacturer’s instructions.
