Description
Ice White is a clean, bright white decorative stone for contemporary gardens. It adds contrast against dark foliage, black mulch or a rendered wall, and works best as a border or accent strip rather than covering a whole garden.
It comes in two sizes: 20mm for finer, denser cover in smaller beds and borders, and 40mm for a bolder look in feature areas where individual stones should stand out.
Light stone shows dirt, dust and leaf litter more than a darker stone, so expect to rinse it or blow it clear occasionally. Laying it over weed mat also stops soil splashing up onto the stone.

Where to Use
- Contemporary landscape designs
- Accent borders against dark foliage or mulch
- Feature beds alongside rendered walls or pale hardscaping
How to Apply
- Prepare the base – clear the area and lay a weed mat if weed suppression is wanted.
- Choose the size – 20mm for finer, denser coverage or 40mm for a bolder feature look.
- Spread to an even depth – about 50mm for 20mm stone and 70mm for 40mm, covering the weed mat fully so soil cannot splash through.
- Define edges – edging keeps the white stone crisp against lawn or darker garden beds.
- Rinse periodically – an occasional rinse or blow-down keeps the white finish looking its best.
Important Notes
- Light-coloured stone shows surface dust and debris more visibly than a darker product.
- A weed mat underneath is recommended for long-term weed suppression.
- Pickup from Keilor East (Melbourne). Sold loose by the cubic metre in quarter-m3 steps; part loads of a quarter, half and three-quarter cubic metre are available.
- Decorative stone is heavy: roughly 1.5 to 1.6 tonnes per cubic metre, so a quarter cubic metre is about 400 kg. Check the trailer’s load rating before choosing a full load.
- Crushed stone and sand contain crystalline silica. Keep the material damp when spreading or sweeping, avoid breathing the dust, and wear a P2 mask if it is dry and dusty.
