Description
Bedrock Drainage Gravel is a clean gravel with open voids that let water move through it. Use it to surround slotted agricultural pipe in a trench, as a drainage layer behind retaining walls, and to fill soakage pits.
The gravel lets water reach the pipe, but the trench needs a fall to an outlet to carry it away. Wrap the pipe in geotextile fabric, or use a pre-sleeved pipe, so fine soil does not wash into the slots over time. Check with a plumber or your council before connecting a drain to stormwater or letting it discharge near a boundary.
The 20kg bag suits smaller drainage jobs that do not need a loose load.

How to Apply
- Excavate the trench – to the required depth and fall toward an outlet point.

Important Notes
- The trench needs a fall to an outlet; the gravel alone does not move water away.
- Wrap agricultural pipe in geotextile fabric to prevent siltation over time.
- Store dry.
- Crushed stone and sand contain crystalline silica. Keep the material damp when spreading or sweeping, avoid breathing the dust, and wear a P2 mask if it is dry and dusty.
