Description
Prism is built for homes that want lasting style without the constant worry, in a long, wide plank that opens up a room, with the real look and feel of timber and the peace of mind of Sunstar Hybrid Flooring. Flare carries that through in Sunstar’s Prism range.
A hybrid board, 8mm thick, with an embossed in register finish and 5G Click installation. It’s made by Sunstar Flooring, who supply the Prism range through Multifors.
Behind the colour and finish, 828 Flare’s real numbers are what determine how it holds up in daily use — a 0.5mm wear layer, a 6 Star acoustic rating and P4 slip resistance together give a genuine read on performance rather than just first impressions. Underneath, it’s built on an SPC core with Ceramic surface protection, a combination that’s what keeps a floor like this performing consistently from the first box to the last rather than varying noticeably across a larger room. Each box covers 2.1 m², making it straightforward to work out how many boxes a given room actually needs once its area is measured.

How to Install
Installation should be completed by suitably qualified trades and must adhere to any relevant NCC & building requirements.
- Non-Acceptable Systems: Heating systems between floating floor and subfloor are not suitable.
- Never strike the board directly with tools: Boards should be mixed on the floor and staggered to meet a visually pleasing design.
- Allowance for Expansion — Hybrid Flooring expands and contracts with changing seasons and temperatures.
- Expansion Gaps — Provide a minimum 10mm gap around the entire perimeter including where it meets any vertical obstructions such as walls, fixed furnishings, plumbing penetrations and flooring transitions.

Care & Maintenance
Minor indents or scratches causing indentation of the surface: Timbermate wax sticks are available from hardware stores and online, numerous tutorials are also available online.
Other coatings and more invasive steps are available and should be discussed with your flooring professional.
We will always strive to improve the processes from design to floor. Then once installed you have the opportunity to take over and look after your floor to ensure the longest lifespan. Whether you’re happy for it to age and develop more character to tell a story of your home, or you want to keep it as close as possible to a fresh floor, there’s some guidance to keep in mind:
