Description
CRC Leak Stop Translucent Spray Seal is an easy-to-use aerosol that provides a genuine waterproof seal to most hard surfaces, bridging gaps and cracks with a flexible, durable, long-lasting solution to leaks rather than a temporary patch. Its 360° spray system allows the can to be used at any angle, which is a real practical advantage for the hard-to-reach places leaks so often occur — under eaves, inside gutters, or around awkwardly positioned pipe fittings.
Once applied, it’s touch dry within 15-30 minutes, though the surface continues to cure over several days to a tough, rubber-like finish that genuinely bridges the gap or crack rather than just sitting on top of it. Being translucent once fully cured, it doesn’t leave an obvious visual patch the way a coloured sealant would, and its longevity can be further improved by coating the cured seal with any paint finish if a matched appearance or extra UV protection is wanted.
It’s suited to a genuinely wide range of hard surfaces — gutters, skylights, chimney connections, ventilation pipes, ducts, sheet-metal covers, bitumen, vents, flashings, monolithic and plastered surfaces, and downpipes — covering most of the common leak points around a roof or building envelope. It is not recommended for use on fabrics, which fall outside its intended hard-surface application range.
Because it cures progressively over several days to a tough, rubber-like finish, it’s worth allowing that full curing window before judging the repair’s final performance, even though it’s touch dry much sooner. Keeping a can on hand for opportunistic repairs, rather than waiting for a scheduled maintenance visit, is exactly the kind of quick-turnaround job this translucent spray seal is built for.
