Description

Maintenance-friendly Hybrid Flooring that Captures the Essence of Timber Tarwin brings that into Sunstar’s Maxi Hybrid range, with dark tones and an industrial feel.

A hybrid board, 7mm thick, with an embossed finish and Unilin Click installation. It’s made by Sunstar Flooring, who supply the Maxi Hybrid range through Multifors.

Behind the colour and finish, 910 Tarwin’s real numbers are what determine how it holds up in daily use — a 0.5mm wear layer, an AC4 Light Commercial rating, a 5 Star acoustic rating and P5 slip resistance together give a genuine read on performance rather than just first impressions. Underneath, it’s built on an SPC core with UV Cured surface protection, a combination that’s what keeps a floor like this performing consistently from the first box to the last rather than varying noticeably across a larger room. Each box covers 2.1sqm across 5 planks, making it straightforward to work out how many boxes a given room actually needs once its area is measured. With 6 pattern variations across the boards, the floor avoids an obviously repeating look once laid across a larger area.

How to Install

Installation should be completed by suitably qualified trades and must adhere to any relevant NCC & building requirements.

  1. Pre-Installation: Run heating at desired temperature for at least: one week, then turn off and allow subfloor to cool for 2-3 days.
  2. Gradual Heating — Increase temperature by a maximum of 2°C per day. Maintain a constant temperature once running, with variations of no more than 2°C per day.
  3. Confirm Suitability — Check with heating system supplier for suitability of floor coverings; the product warranty does not cover improper installations.
  4. Non-Acceptable Systems: Heating systems between floating floor and subfloor are not suitable.
  5. Unilin system locking process – Unilin locking system guide

Frequently asked questions

How many boxes of 910 Tarwin do I need?

Each box of 910 Tarwin covers 2.1 m2 and holds 5 planks. Divide your floor area by 2.1, add about 10 percent for offcuts, then round up to the next whole box. A 20 m2 room works out at 11 boxes. The calculator on this page does the same maths for you.

What warranty comes with 910 Tarwin?

910 Tarwin is covered by limited lifetime residential, 10 years commercial, lifetime structural. Cover assumes the floor is installed as a floating floor over a suitable underlay with expansion gaps left at the perimeter, and maintained without wet mopping or steam cleaning.

Is 910 Tarwin noisy underfoot?

910 Tarwin carries a 5 Star acoustic rating, which is the top of the scale Sunstar publishes. The underlay matters as much as the board here, so pair it with an acoustic underlay in apartments or on a first floor.
