Description
Soudal T-Rex Flex is a highly elastic sealant and adhesive built on SMX Hybrid Polymer technology, engineered for a wide range of bonding, sealing and filling applications where genuine material movement needs to be absorbed rather than resisted. At 750% elongation at break, it’s a genuinely flexible product, forming a strong, elastic, waterproof seal once cured that stays intact under real building movement rather than cracking or tearing.
Its suitability for sanitary applications combines that flexibility with mould-resistant, fungicidal biocide protection — a wet-area sealant that only handles movement but not mould growth would fail one of the two genuine requirements of that environment. Being solvent, halogen, acid and isocyanate free, and free of toxic components, makes it a completely neutral, low-hazard product to work with across both construction and sanitary sealing applications.
Its SMX Hybrid Polymer base is what allows T-Rex Flex to combine genuine sealant flexibility with true adhesive strength in one product, meaning it can be used both to seal a joint against water ingress and to structurally bond components together, rather than needing separate sealant and adhesive products for related tasks. The fungicidal biocide content is a real practical benefit in the wet areas it’s designed for, actively resisting mould growth along the sealed joint rather than relying purely on the sealant’s inherent water resistance.

Where to Use
- Sealing and bonding in the building and construction industry
- Strong elastic bonding in vibrating constructions
- Sanitary applications
- Sealing of floor joints
How to Apply
- Prepare the surface — ensure it is rigid, clean, free of dust and grease, dry or slightly moist.
- Apply the sealant — extrude from the cartridge or squeeze tube into the joint or bonding area.
- Tool the joint — smooth to shape before skin formation begins (approx. 10 minutes).
- Allow to cure — respect the 2-3mm/24h curing speed before further work.
- Paint if required — overpaint with water-based systems once fully cured.
Important Notes
- Good resistance to salt water, aliphatic solvents, hydrocarbons and diluted mineral acids and alkalis.
- Poor resistance to aromatic solvents, concentrated acids and chlorinated hydrocarbons.
- Store for 15 months in unopened packaging, +5°C to +25°C.
