Description

Sikaflex-11 FC+ is a 1-part, multipurpose elastic adhesive and joint sealant built to bond and seal most construction material substrates without surface pre-treatment — concrete, masonry, reconstituted or cast stone, ceramic, wood, metal and glass. Its ±35% movement capability gives it genuine flexibility for both structural bonding and joint sealing applications where the substrate will move over time.

Carrying CE marking to EN 15651 for both facade and pedestrian-walkway sealant use, plus ASTM C920-11 class 35 certification, gives it a real compliance basis for demanding building envelope work. Its ISEGA certification for incidental food contact is a genuinely unusual credential for a construction adhesive, broadening where it can be specified into food-processing or food-service environments where that rating matters.

Its ±35% movement capability makes Sikaflex-11 FC+ genuinely suited to structural and expansion joints that need to accommodate real material movement, not just static gap-filling, while its pick-resistant and sandable cured properties mean it can be finished and painted alongside surrounding surfaces once fully cured. ISEGA certification for incidental food contact broadens its use into food-preparation and hospitality environments where a general-purpose sealant wouldn’t be appropriate, on top of its core role as a multipurpose construction adhesive and sealant.

Meeting both Green Star Design & As Built and Green Star Interiors requirements, alongside GEV-Emicode EC1PLUS certification for very low VOC emissions, makes it a genuinely strong specification choice for commercial projects tracking sustainability credentials as well as structural performance.

Where to Use

  • Bonding concrete, masonry, cast stone, ceramic, wood, metal and glass
  • Sealing vertical and horizontal construction joints
  • Facade elements and pedestrian walkway joints
  • Applications requiring incidental food contact certification

How to Apply

  1. Prepare the joint — ensure surfaces are clean and dry; pre-treatment is not required on defined substrates.
  2. Apply the sealant — extrude from the cartridge or foil pack into the joint or bonding area.
  3. Tool the joint — smooth to shape before the surface skins over.
  4. Allow to cure — respect the curing schedule before exposing to full load or movement.
  5. Sand if required — once fully cured, the sealant can be sanded for a smooth finish.

Important Notes

  • Very low VOC emissions, GEV-Emicode EC1PLUS certified.
  • Meets Green Star Design & As Built and Green Star Interiors requirements.
