PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
ROBERTS R2000 Universal Flooring Adhesive is an acrylic co-polymer hard set
adhesive with strong initial tack qualities and bond for a range of PVC vinyl and
textile floor coverings. It has excellent plasticiser resistance and non-staining
properties. It is for interior use only, is protected against biodegradation,
withstands everyday wet cleaning practices, and is suitable for underfloor heating
installations.

RECOMMENDED USE:
- Roberts R2000 Universal Flooring Adhesive is formulated for Commercial
and Domestic PVC Sheet Vinyl floor coverings, Wall Vinyl, Vinyl Composite Tiles, PVC
Vinyl Plank and Tile flooring and Linoleum. - It may also be used to install hard to hold carpets and those with PVC
backings. It can be installed to bond some Rubber flooring up to 4.0mm.
Note: With variations in the composition of Rubber Floor coverings, it is
recommended to conduct a test to confirm adhesion suitability.

SURFACE PREPARATION:
- To be in accordance with the current Australian Standard “Floor
Coverings – 1884-2021 Resilient Sheet & Tiles – Laying & Maintenance Practices” or
Australian Standard 2455.2.2019 “Textile Floor Coverings – Installation
Practice”. - All surfaces to be bonded shall be absorbent, dry, smooth,
sound, and clean. - Subfloors must also be free of wax, grease, paint, previously used
adhesive, polish, PVC-based membranes, curing compounds, hydrostatic pressure and
any other impurities that may affect adhesion. - The minimum subfloor temperature before commencing surface preparation
and adhesive application is 10°C. - R2000 can be applied to concrete substrates with moisture contents up to
85% relative humidity tested with the In-Situ Probe method. - ROBERTS R2000 can be used on concrete substrates with pH readings up to
10.0. - If mechanical preparation is required, prepare the floor using
recommended techniques such as shot blasting and diamond grinding to provide a
roughened, clean, sound, and open porous surface. - Thoroughly vacuum loose material and dust.
- Test all concrete substrate flooring for moisture content according
to the current standard and prepare the floor using recommended methods such as shot
blasting and diamond grinding. - Uneven concrete subfloors should be treated with the Roberts range of
levelling compounds per the manufacturer’s recommendations. - Where temperatures are less than 5ºC or higher than 35ºC, please contact
RLA Technical department for further details.

COVERAGE:
- 2 to 3mm V-notched trowel will achieve coverage of approximately 2
square metres per litre. - A 4 to 5mm V-notched trowel will achieve coverage of 1 to 1.2 square
metres per litre.
CLEAN UP:
- Clean tools and equipment immediately after use with a suitable solvent
such as white spirits or alternatively Citrus based RLA Handy Wipes. - Cured adhesive can be removed by mechanical means or with RLA Handy
Wipes
SHELF LIFE/STORAGE:
- 12 months when stored in original unopened packaging.
- To be stored in a cool dry and weatherproof environment off the ground.
- Once opened curing will commence – reseal as soon as possible and
discard any partially cured or skinned material.

- 10 Litre / 15 kg Containers
PRECAUTIONS:
- Drying times can be extended when applied in cold
ambient temperatures. - Don’t allow the adhesive to skin over or dry out; it is essential that
the floor covering being bonded is installed into a Wet film of adhesive - Don’t apply adhesive in direct sunlight.
- Do not apply on substrates with rising dampness.
