Description
Roberts EcoFlo Rapid Drying Self-Leveller smooths new and existing internal concrete substrates from a thin 1mm skim up to a substantial 30mm build, developing a smooth, even surface with genuinely high mechanical resistance rather than just a cosmetic finish. Classified CT-C30-F6 under EN 13813, it’s rated for real compressive and flexural performance, not just self-levelling flow.
Speed is the other headline figure: flooring installation can begin roughly 12 hours after application, and the surface hardens enough to walk on after just 2-3 hours — a genuine advantage on a job where the levelling step would otherwise be the schedule bottleneck. Correct priming is essential to that result: porous substrates take a diluted coat of Roberts R48 Universal Primer, while non-porous surfaces like burnished concrete or ceramic tile need a neat, undiluted coat instead.

Where to Use
- Levelling new and existing internal concrete substrates before carpets, resilient flooring, linoleum, timber or tile
- Terrazzo, ceramic, natural stone and magnesite floors
- Underfloor heating systems
- Internal use only — not for particle board or strip timber flooring
How to Apply
- Prepare the substrate — dry, sound, clean, free of wax, grease, old adhesive and high moisture; mechanically prepare if required.
- Prime — apply Roberts R48 Universal Primer, diluted 1:2 for porous substrates or neat for non-porous ones, and allow to dry (approx. 2 hours at 23°C).
- Mix — combine one 20kg bag with 4.6-4.8L clean water using a drill and mixing paddle for approximately 3 minutes to a lump-free consistency.
- Apply — spread in one coat from 1mm to 30mm using a gauge rake, spreader, trowel, or pump for larger areas, within the 15-minute pot life.
- Allow to cure — walkable after 2-3 hours; ready for floor coverings after approximately 12 hours.
Important Notes
- Do not overwater the mix — excess water causes bleeding, separation and reduced bond and tensile strength.
- Not suitable for particle board or strip timber flooring, or application over expansion joints.
- Do not allow contact with water during or after curing, and do not apply to substrates subject to rising dampness.
