Roberts R5601 Vinyl Seam Sealer Adhesive
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
ROBERTS R5601 Vinyl Seam Adhesive is a specifically formulated flammable solution for chemically seaming vinyl sheet flooring. Not recommended for vinyl sheet flooring with a urethane wear surface.
SUITABILITY:
- RLA 265 is a hard-set adhesive suitable for bonding most PVC commercial and domestic vinyl sheeting products, vinyl composite tiles, PVC vinyl tiles, and plank flooring.
COVERAGE:
- V1 1.6mm x 1.6mm notched trowel will achieve approximately 5 square metres per litre.
- V2 2.4mm x 2.4mm notched trowel will achieve up to 3 square metres per litre.
- V3 3.2mm x 3.2mm notched trowel will achieve approximately 2 square metres per litre.
SURFACE PREPARATION:
- Seams must be dry and free of adhesive.
- Wipe the seam area with a clean cloth dampened with water.
- Allow the area to dry before applying ROBERTS R5601 Vinyl Seam Adhesive.
APPLICATION:
- Seams must be dry and free of adhesive.

CLEAN UP:
- To clean up equipment and adhesive spills, Use ROBERTS R900 Cleaner.
- NOTE: ROBERTS R900 is not recommended for removing adhesive from vinyl, carpet, or painted surfaces.
CAUTION: HIGHLY FLAMMABLE
- Avoid contact with skin and eyes and avoid breathing vapour.

- Shelf Life: 6 months in a sealed container @ 20ºC

- Coverage: approx. 125 lineal metres per 250ml
SAFETY AND HANDLING:
KEEP AWAY FROM HEAT/SPARKS/OPEN FLAMES
- Ground/bond container and receiving equipment
- Use explosion-proof electrical/ventilation/lighting equipment.
- Use precautionary measures against static discharges.
- Keep the container tightly closed.
- Wear suitable respiratory protection.
- Use in well-ventilated areas.
- Avoid breathing vapours.
- Persons who are sensitive to odours and chemicals should avoid the work area.
- Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
- Wear eye protection and suitable gloves and clothing.
- Do not eat, drink, or smoke while using this product.
- If on the skin, wash with plenty of soap and water.
- If in the eyes: rinse cautiously with water for several minutes.
- Remove contact lenses; if present, continue rinsing.
- If any skin or eye irritation persists or you feel unwell, get medical attention.

FIRST AID:

- IF IN EYES Rinse carefully with water for several minutes.
