Description
A two-component finish has to be measured, mixed and then carried to the floor, and doing all three in the tin it came in is how ratios go wrong. The Loba coating bucket is the 18 litre pail made for that work, with a moulded measuring scale and a lid.
The scale is the useful part. Mixing a partial batch by eye is the most common way a 2K finish ends up under or over hardened, and neither fault is visible until the floor is in service.

Why Ratio Accuracy Decides the Result
A two-component finish reaches its stated hardness and abrasion resistance only if the hardener is measured correctly. Short on hardener and the film stays soft and marks under traffic. Long on it and the finish can cure brittle and craze. Neither shows on the day of application.
On a full kit the packaging fixes the proportions for you. The risk sits with partial batches, where the ratio becomes yours to judge. A moulded measuring scale turns that from an estimate into a measurement, which is the entire argument for the bucket.

How to Apply
- Fit a liner — Drop in a PE liner if you want to avoid washing the bucket out afterwards.
- Measure to the scale — Use the moulded scale so the ratio is repeatable rather than estimated.
- Add the hardener — Add the second component in the correct ratio and mix thoroughly.
- Apply — Work from the bucket with a roller or T-bar.
- Seal or discard — Fit the lid if the mix is being held, or lift the liner out and discard it.
Important Notes
- Mixed 2K material has a limited processing time. The lid extends storage of unmixed product, not of a mixed batch.
- Liners are sold separately and save the cleaning time that otherwise follows every batch.
- For small partial quantities, the 1 litre graduated mixing container is the more accurate tool.
Liners and Clean-Up
An 18 litre bucket that has had a two-component finish mixed in it is a genuine cleaning job, and any residue left in the bottom contaminates the next batch. That is the argument for the PE liners.
With a liner fitted, finishing a batch means lifting the liner out and discarding it. Without one it means washing the bucket out before the residue cures, which on a site running several batches a day is time that adds up quickly.
