Description
Fine Wash Sand (Triple Wash) is a fine sand washed to reduce clay, silt and organic matter. It is used for rendering, laying and bedding pavers, filling paver joints and other fine work where a dirty sand would stain or weaken the mix.
It is a natural material, so loads can vary a little. Collect enough for a whole job in one load where a consistent colour matters, and keep it covered and dry until used.

Important Notes
- Chosen specifically for jobs sensitive to sand contamination, such as rendering and joint fill.
- Washed to reduce clay and silt; it is a natural material, so loads can vary.
- Keep covered and dry until used.
- Pickup from Keilor East (Melbourne). Sold loose by the cubic metre in quarter-m3 steps; part loads of a quarter, half and three-quarter cubic metre are available.
- Sand is heavy: roughly 1.5 to 1.6 tonnes per cubic metre, so a quarter cubic metre is about 400 kg. Check the trailer’s load rating before choosing a full load.
- Crushed stone and sand contain crystalline silica. Keep the material damp when spreading or sweeping, avoid breathing the dust, and wear a P2 mask if it is dry and dusty.
