Description
CRC Blue Zinc Coating delivers a satin blue safety-colour finish backed by genuine anti-corrosive performance, combining the rust-inhibiting properties of zinc with a tough, flexible enamel coating rather than a purely decorative spray paint. High levels of zinc complexes are embedded in the resin system itself, forming a quick-drying, highly protective coating with excellent adhesion directly to bare metal.
That embedded zinc chemistry is what sets it apart from a conventional enamel: standard paint systems tend to undercut and blister once corrosion establishes itself beneath the surface, while Blue Zinc’s corrosion barrier resists that failure. For ultimate protection, priming the metal with CRC Zinc It first is recommended, and CRC Prep It can be used as an intermediate coat to build a higher overall film thickness.
Application is fast — touch dry within 20 minutes, recoat-ready within 30, and fully cured within 24 hours — as a single coat with no over-coating needed. Its Corrosion Protection Factor of 36 gives up to 3 years of protection before recoating under normal conditions, with re-application simply needing a fresh coat over the existing film or a clean surface once conditions call for it.
Because the corrosion protection comes from the coating’s own chemistry rather than the topcoat colour, choosing Blue specifically for its safety-colour role doesn’t come at the expense of the anti-corrosive performance the whole CRC Zinc range shares.

Where to Use
- Bare metal surfaces requiring safety-colour coding

How to Apply
- Prime if maximum protection is required — apply CRC Zinc It to the bare metal surface first.
- Shake the can — until the agitator ball moves freely, then for at least 1 further minute.
- Apply thin coats — with smooth, even strokes, holding the can approximately 25cm from the surface.
- Clean the valve — turn the can upside down and press the button until only pressure escapes.
- Allow to cure — touch dry in 20 minutes, full cure in 24 hours.
