Description
Protecting carpet during a fitout usually means sheeting that shifts underfoot and has to be taped down. Carpet Saver takes the opposite approach: a self-adhesive film that sticks to the carpet itself, so there is nothing to tape, nothing to reposition and nothing to trip over.
It is 105 microns thick with an anti-slip surface, supplied on a 1 metre by 100 metre roll covering 100 square metres. Followed to the manufacturer’s instructions, it lifts off without residue.

Self-Adhesive Versus Loose Protection
Loose sheeting protects a floor only while it stays where it was put. On carpet it creeps under foot traffic, rucks at the seams and needs taping down at every edge, and on stairs it is a genuine hazard.
A self-adhesive film removes all of that. It bonds to the carpet pile itself, so there is nothing to tape, nothing to reposition each morning and no loose edge to catch. The anti-slip surface is what makes it usable on stairs and ramps where film protection would otherwise be the wrong choice entirely.

How to Apply
- Clean the carpet — Vacuum before laying. The film bonds to the carpet surface, so it bonds to whatever is on it.
- Roll out — Unroll across the area, pressing the film down as you go.
- Overlap — Overlap adjoining runs so no carpet is left exposed at the seams.
- Remove — Peel back and lift at the end of the programme, following the manufacturer’s instructions for residue-free removal.
Important Notes
- Removal is residue free when the manufacturer’s instructions are followed, which includes not leaving it down beyond its intended period.
- The anti-slip surface matters on stairs, where a plain film would be a hazard.
- Vacuum first. Film laid over grit presses that grit into the pile.
Coverage and Handling
One roll covers 100 square metres at 1 metre wide by 100 metres long. Allow a small overlap between adjoining runs so no carpet is left exposed along the seam lines, and work out quantities on the area actually being protected rather than the whole floor plate.
Lay it in the direction of the main traffic flow where you can. Film laid across a walking route has more seam edges presented to foot traffic, and those are the points where any protection film starts to lift.
