A hybrid board, 8mm thick, with an embossed in register finish and 5G Click installation. It’s made by Sunstar Flooring, who supply the Prism range through Multifors.
Behind the colour and finish, 824 Shade’s real numbers are what determine how it holds up in daily use — a 0.5mm wear layer, a 6 Star acoustic rating and P4 slip resistance together give a genuine read on performance rather than just first impressions. Underneath, it’s built on an SPC core with Ceramic surface protection, a combination that’s what keeps a floor like this performing consistently from the first box to the last rather than varying noticeably across a larger room. Each box covers 2.1 m², making it straightforward to work out how many boxes a given room actually needs once its area is measured.

How to Install
Installation should be completed by suitably qualified trades and must adhere to any relevant NCC & building requirements.
- Underlay — Hybrid flooring includes an integrated underlay and foam based underlays should not be used under the flooring. Where improved acoustic controls are required rubber based underlays may be used but should be approved by Sunstar Timber Flooring prior to use.
- Stair treads — All stairs should be installed direct stick, and steps should be taken to removed underlay prior to fixing down with adhesive. Where the top stair extends into a upper floating
- Pallet — Store on flat pallet at all times.
- Temperature — Aim to store at room temperature at all times.

Care & Maintenance
Also, never drill fixtures through the floor without allowing for floor movement.
It’s always important to keep a floor clean, minor dirt and grit can accelerate the wear of coatings.
Use mats both inside and outside of doors leading outside to clean shoes and remove debris before it ends up on the floor. Mats should be kept clean. (Where installed in commercial premises it’s recommended foot traffic passes over a 3.0metre mat).
