Description
The Sigma Jolly Edge Cutter transforms a standard angle grinder into a purpose-built tile-edging tool, gliding along the edge of a tile or slab to cut a uniform bevel — or a rounded half-bullnose profile — along its entire length. That gliding action is what guarantees consistency: rather than freehand grinding, the tool copies the physical edge of the slab precisely, so the bevel stays uniform even along a long or slightly irregular edge.
Its two configurations cover genuinely different edge finishes: the ‘Jolly’ setting cuts a flat bevel at any angle between 35° and 55°, while switching to ‘Half-Bullnose’ produces a rounded bevel with a 6, 8 or 10mm radius. Handling material thickness from 5-20mm and length from 30cm up to any practical length in a single pass, it’s built for real slab and large-format tile work, not just small tile trimming.

Where to Use
- Bevelling and profiling edges of porcelain, stoneware, marble and granite tiles or slabs
- Benchtop and splashback edge finishing
- Large-format tile and slab installations requiring a consistent edge profile
How to Apply
- Fit the attachment — mount the Jolly Edge Cutter onto a compatible 700-1400W angle grinder via the M14 connection.
- Select the configuration — choose ‘Jolly’ for a flat bevel or ‘Half-Bullnose’ for a rounded profile.
- Set the angle or radius — adjust between 35°-55° for Jolly, or select the 6/8/10mm radius for Half-Bullnose.
- Glide along the edge — run the tool along the full length of the tile or slab edge in a single, steady pass.
- Connect dust extraction or the water kit — as required for the specific job and material.
Important Notes
- Angle grinder is not included — a compatible 700-1400W grinder is required separately.
- The Waterkit is an optional accessory sold separately for wet-cutting finish.
- Use the wide table-top’s synthetic surface to slide tiles without scratching.
A hand-ground bevel, even done carefully, rarely holds a consistent angle or depth across a full slab edge — small variations in hand pressure or grinder angle show up clearly once the edge catches the light. The Jolly’s gliding mechanism removes that human variability from the equation, which is why it’s specified on jobs where the finished bevel is a visible design feature rather than just a safety chamfer.
