Running oxygen alongside Trade Map Gas or Propane pushes this kit’s flame to 2926°C — genuinely hotter than a standard hand torch, and genuinely less forgiving of getting the shutdown sequence wrong.

Description

The Hot Devil Brazing Torch Kit is an oxygen brazing and cutting torch, genuinely different from a standard hand-held torch because it’s designed to run simultaneously with an oxygen cylinder alongside a Trade Map Gas or Propane cylinder. That oxygen supply is what pushes flame temperature up to 2926°C — far hotter than a standard Trade Map or Propane torch running on fuel gas alone — which is why the kit demands real familiarity with its operation before first use.

Safe operation depends on a few non-negotiable rules: never ignite the torch while oxygen is flowing, always turn off the oxygen valve before the fuel valve when shutting down, and never operate with a flame shorter than 6mm, since a too-short flame can overheat the mixing tube and cause flame outage or flashback. The stable cylinder stand supplied with the kit is also part of the safety system — an improperly positioned stand can tip and let liquid fuel enter the hose, creating a dangerous flare.

Technical Specifications

Fuel gases Oxygen combined with Trade Map Gas or Propane Gas
Maximum flame temperature 2926°C
Minimum safe flame length 6mm
Materials May contain brass (may contain lead)

Where to Use

  • Brazing and cutting work requiring higher flame temperatures than a standard hand torch
  • Trade and industrial metalwork
  • Applications where an oxygen-boosted flame is specifically required

How to Apply

  1. Position the cylinder stand — place on a stable, level surface before connecting cylinders.
  2. Connect cylinders — attach the oxygen and fuel gas cylinders per the assembly instructions.
  3. Ignite correctly — never attempt to ignite the torch while oxygen is flowing.
  4. Maintain a safe flame length — do not operate with a flame shorter than 6mm.
  5. Shut down correctly — always turn OFF the oxygen valve before the fuel valve.

Important Notes

  • Do not permit grease or oil to contact any part of the torch, hoses or cylinders, particularly the oxygen side — oxygen can cause grease or oil to burn uncontrollably.
  • Inspect hoses before each use for tears, cuts, frays or other damage; do not use if any are found.
  • Never point the torch toward the cylinders or let the flame deflect onto them.
  • Keep out of reach of children and anyone who has not read the full instruction manual.

Running an oxygen-boosted torch changes the risk profile compared with a standard fuel-only hand torch, which is why the manual’s shutdown sequence — oxygen off first, then fuel — isn’t a minor procedural note but the single most important safety habit to build. Reversing that order, shutting off fuel while oxygen keeps flowing, is specifically what can trigger a flashback, so treating that step as automatic rather than something to remember under time pressure is what separates safe routine use from a genuine hazard.

Frequently asked questions

How hot does the Hot Devil Brazing Torch Kit burn?

Up to 2926°C — significantly hotter than a standard Trade Map or Propane torch, because it’s used simultaneously with an oxygen cylinder rather than fuel gas alone.

What gases does the Brazing Torch Kit use?

It’s designed to be used simultaneously with an oxygen cylinder and a Trade Map Gas or Propane Gas cylinder — the oxygen is what pushes the flame temperature well above a standard hand torch.

What is the correct shutdown procedure?

Always turn off the oxygen valve before turning off the fuel gas valve. Turning off the fuel gas while oxygen is still flowing can result in a flashback or explosion.
