Description
A pool tiled in one colour often needs two finishes: shine for the walls, grip for the steps. Tahiti Emerald Gloss is the wall half. It is a green 8mm porcelain square from Dune, 147x147mm, part of Tahiti, a pool series inspired by a Pacific island and the look of Balinese stone.
Dune publishes water absorption of E ≤ 0.5% (UNE EN ISO 10545-3), breaking strength over 35 N/mm² and stain resistance 5, and it passes frost and crazing tests. A rating of A for swimming pool chemical resistance measures durability, not slip. With no slip result on the sheet, Emerald Gloss stays off pool floors, steps, surrounds and wet floors; Tahiti Emerald Anti-Slip, Class 3, is the pairing for those, once its rating is confirmed for each area.

How to Apply
- Check the substrate: solid, level, clean and dry, moisture below 2%, unevenness beyond 2mm corrected.
- Pick C2 cementitious adhesive: trial it on a couple of tiles before the full job.
- Spread thin and notch: roughly 3mm raked with a no. 3 notched trowel; set tiles before a skin forms.
- Set the joints: 2mm or more with crosspieces, 3mm on unstable substrates, self-levelling spacers, offsets within 25%.
- Grout, then wash down: flat rubber trowel, excess off straight away with a damp sponge; epoxy grout waterproofs better in water areas.
Colour and Finish
Emerald moves between darker and lighter greens over 25 faces, with irregular texture beneath the gloss. Draw from several boxes at once to spread the tones. The range also includes Turquoise, each colour as Gloss or Anti-Slip.
