Description
A white decorative tile often ends up somewhere demanding: a shower recess, a steam room, an exterior wall. Dune Kit-Kat Mosaic Tile in White Matt Finish is tested for that kind of work, with water absorption of E ≤ 0.5%, breaking strength over 35 N/mm² and passes for frost and crazing. The 8mm porcelain piece measures 115x231mm, with pre-cuts forming slim vertical fingers.
Use icons from Dune tick outdoor walls, indoor walls, shower walls, pool and high vapour condensation walls, while every floor option is marked NO. According to Dune, the smooth, concave matt finger tile also works in commercial spaces such as bars, counters, shelves and columns. Scratch hardness is 6, stain resistance 5, chemical resistance LA and pool water class A.

How to Apply
- Substrate: fix only onto a sound, plumb, clean and dry wall under 2% moisture, making good anything more than 2mm out.
- Adhesive: Dune calls for C2 cementitious adhesive on porcelain; trial it with at least two White Matt pieces.
- Trowel technique: notch about 3mm of adhesive with a number 3 trowel, work upwards from the base and press each piece into soft adhesive, never dot and dab.
- Joints: 2mm minimum, 3mm where the wall is unstable or sees heat and cold, using self levelling spacers and offsets no more than 25%.
- Grout: fill joints and pre-cuts completely, with epoxy grout in wet areas for better waterproofing, and clean with a pH neutral cleaner.
Colour and Finish
Even in white, the datasheet notes shade variation, irregular texture and 6 faces, so shuffle tiles from several boxes on site. Matt white softens glare in bright bathrooms and outdoors, and grout choice sets how strongly the fingers stand out, so check a test area. Other matt Kit-Kat colours include Grey, Anise Green, Sky and Lilac; glossy colours are also offered.
Important Notes
- Dune states pre-cut models, Kit-Kat included, may have small pores in the grooves; grouted, they are hidden and aid grout adhesion.
- Shade may vary from batch to batch, so purchase your full requirement in one order.
- There is no slip resistance test on this datasheet and all floors, including shower floors, are marked NO: walls only.
- Verify colour, finish and thickness first, because Dune does not accept claims once tiles are fixed.
