Musgo is Spanish for moss, and the colour follows the name: a muted olive khaki gloss with grey and brown undertones. Dune Kit Kat Mosaic Tile in Musgo Gloss Finish is an 8mm porcelain tile in a 115x231mm size, its gloss finger relief broken up by pre-cuts.
The Kit-Kat series is presented by Dune Ceramics as a tactile, colourful porcelain inspired by Japanese aesthetics. Musgo’s datasheet, code 189219, shows water absorption of E ≤ 0.5%, breaking strength greater than 35 N/mm², scratch hardness of 5 and passes for frost and crazing resistance.

How to Apply
- Assess the wall: tile only onto a firm, flat, clean and dry substrate; flatten irregularities over 2mm and keep moisture below 2%.
- Choose C2 adhesive: porcelain tiles take a C2 cementitious adhesive per Dune’s table; trial two or more pieces.
- Apply and press: begin at floor level, lay a thin 3mm bed with a no. 3 notched trowel and position tiles while the adhesive is fresh. No dot and dab fixing.
- Set joint widths: no less than 2mm, 3mm on plasterboard, equal to the groove spacing; offsets up to 25%, with self levelling spacers.
- Grout the grooves: cover every pre-cut completely, use epoxy grout near water, and clean off excess with a wet sponge before it sets.
Colour and Finish
Across its 6 faces the Musgo glaze is graded V4 for shade variation over an irregular textured surface, so khaki, olive and grey fingers mingle. Mix pieces from different boxes so tone changes spread across the wall.
The datasheet marks Musgo as new. Other colours in the range include Snow, Ivory, Water, Ocean, Grass and Noche in gloss, and White, Grey, Anise Green, Sky and Lilac in matt.
