Description
Under a pendant light or morning sun, the deep teal green glaze of Dune Agadir Selva picks up highlights on every rise of its uneven surface. Selva means jungle in Spanish; this is the 9mm porcelain subway version, 70x280mm (7x28cm), from the Agadir series by Dune, a series that borrows its saturated colour from Moroccan zellige and Berber craft.
According to Dune’s current sheet, Selva subway has water absorption of 0.5% < E ≤ 3% under UNE EN ISO 10545-3, breaking strength of more than 30 N/mm² and chemical resistance GA, and complies for frost and thermal shock. Class 0 slip under UNE-EN 16165 Annex C makes it a feature wall, shower wall and splashback tile, not a wet floor tile.

How to Apply
- Inspect and prepare: the wall should be firm, levelled, dry, clean and under 2% moisture, with anything beyond 2mm levelled out.
- Test the system: try C2 cementitious adhesive, grout and tools on at least two tiles before continuing.
- Notch and place: from the lowest course, spread about 3mm, notch with a No. 3 trowel and seat tiles before a film forms.
- Space and level: no less than 2mm joints, 3mm in severe thermal movement, self-levelling spacers, stagger limited to 25%.
- Grout and rinse: grout clean, dry joints and remove excess promptly with a wet sponge or neutral pH product; avoid abrasives.
Colour and Finish
Green glazes change most with light, and Selva’s texture makes the most of it: raised areas flash bright while hollows hold deeper colour. Dune spreads the pattern over 21 faces with shade variation, so draw from multiple boxes while fixing. Selva also comes as a 147x147mm square, and other subway colours include Agua, Lago and Musgo in gloss and Cotto Oscuro in matt.
